Inception: If I Could Dream

What's this? Inception, but not Arthur/Eames? You mean that Saito/Arthur fic no one is reading wasn't a fluke?
Apparently not.
Truth to tell, I like a variety of Inception pairings. They just need to have Arthur in them.
Anywho...

Oh, wow. That's certainly something I've not seen from any that-(should I say in case of spoilers?)-character fic I've read so far. Way more intimate and ... (I'm so bad with words - this is why I don't write) ... I guess, intimate/personal, than most of the that-character fic in this fandom.

Nice work! I've never been sympathetic to that-character before, so you're angle of entry must be pretty good.

Thanks.

I don't know why, but ever since the second time I watched Inception, the image of Nash running his fingers over Arthur's hand as he checks the PASIV has stayed with me...
The first time I saw the movie, I wanted to write Arthur/Eames.
After the second time, I also wanted to write Arthur/Nash... it's just more challenging and there doesn't seem to be much interest.
For writers, I should think Nash is a diamond mine of possibilities (since there's so little of him in the movie).

After this story popped in my head (it was kinda weird, really -- I was just laying there, coughing, trying to iron out details on the wild west au, and BANG there it was, somehow), I did a quick check of the kinkmeme's Delicious bookmarks to see if it matched any prompts, when I found this prompt. It didn't exactly match this fic, but damn it sure matched a lot of my take on Nash (obsessed with Arthur) and a plot I'd toyed around with (Nash selling out Cobb and Arthur for the promise of getting Arthur). I might fill that (or kind of fill it) ( ... )

See, I feel like you've already skirted the first prompt here. The second one, well, you'd be able to go to some VERY interesting places with that.

Oh yes. There really are some far more fascinating possibilities for characterization and other things with the second prompt.
Plus, I have a really vivid image of a scene that'd be in there somewhere.

this is my favorite style of writing and it's often the hardest to do. i love everything about this.

Perhaps the hardest thing with this style is knowing when and how much to use it?
Anyway,
Thank you very much. I'm glad you liked it. =)
