Fugazi didn't sing so much about feelings, they sang with feeling, and that's basically where 'emo' came from. And originally it was good. I mean, who doesn't dig a band with passion? But now the definition is all contorted into something with bad connotation. So there's no use in talking about Figazi or the Cure or any band like that as 'emo' because with the definition of it now they don't fall under that category. Evolution man...

Yeah I guess it depends on what emotion. Like Guy from Fugazi screams and cries his lyrics on stage a lot. But his lyrics were never about "my girlfriend dumped me and here's a melancholy piece of shit song about it" -- i.e. what emo is nowadays
