How do you not believe in Thanksgiving? Surly you have something to be thankful for...? I hope so anyway. I'm a vegeterian who has lost 5 family members, 4 friends and 4 pets in 1&1/2years (all unexpectedly) but it's still a nice holiday. I do miss everyone who's gone and wish it were more than just me and dad, but it could be worse. I hope you found a way to enjoy the day. I can totally relate on the crazy relatives thing. My mom's an unmedicated bipolar alcoholic....thank God she's a 16hr drive away. Hang in.

well not liking Thanksgiving doesn't mean that i am not thankful for anything. that is definitely not the case. im human and thankful for plenty.

it wasnt as bad as i expected. i got to stay home. the white wine helped a little to get me into a better mood. i just took a nap. i thought it was much later.

i hope you had a good holiday, and im sorry to hear about your mom. but i know how it can be. i have a lot of experiences with alcoholism, mostly from my childhood and i think my uncle is going down the same path.
sigh*

take care.
