My internet connection seems to be stable again (more or less. And as soon as I've posted this, the damn router will probably kick me out again...;-) )
So, as long as I'm able to post, on to something pretty! :-)

now that you mention it, *stares* he does, a bit. Although there are far too many clothes in the way to really be sure...

snag away! That's what the caps are there for. =)

Always too many clothes. And he's much less skinny underneath.

Yeah, they really liked casting him as the asshole, the kind of bf you shouldn't have (or with older women). Interesting as both attitudes reflect similarly on how his looks were seen.

Hmmm, did he have so many asshole/no-good bf roles? I haven't seen all of his earlier stuff (The Hair scares me a bit. *g*)
The older women trend intrigues me (although, it's only been two roles, if I remember right?).

Interesting as both attitudes reflect similarly on how his looks were seen.
Heh. (now I'm pondering wether to add the good-but-gay son to that or not...)
It's because he had that baby fat softness to his face when he was younger (plus the floppy hair) *points to your icon*, isn't it?
soft + good looking = weak character, no alpha male, etc...

His "good looks" seemed to get him cast as the ass in CSI and ER, where the heroic men look more manly, and as the younger man in sisters and Edna B. and Judge Something, also looking less "manly" (even with not-older women he was the boyfriend-as-foil; sort of throwaway, but don't quote me at that, see last line below).

... it just reminds me of fandom's reaction, that thing that friends keep trying to tell me - that people who seem to hate him really love him but resent doing that and feel they have to justify it. While I, who never considered him that good looking and saw more the unique in him, didn't like the vilification nor the whatstheotherword, pedestalling (ugh, can't sleep but getting up again not good for powers of expression).

And yes, the gay son is also the soft, consideredaspretty looks. How can you be scared of his hair?!?!? It's the same, just longer in an effort to make it lie down.

True about ER, but I think he looks pretty manly in CSI! Much more manly than those stylish, smooth, heroic CSI:Miami people. *g*

that people who seem to hate him really love him but resent doing that and feel they have to justify it.
*blinks*...? I think you lost me here. Or fandom lost me. *g*
Hee, I like the word "pedestalling". Vilification? Because of his looks/ "he relies only on his looks and can't really act" etc.?
(When I saw the first promo pictures for SGA, I thought the cast - esp. that Sheppard guy - was way too pretty (the bland, boring kind), and thus avoided the show for the first months...)

How can you be scared of his hair?!?!?
It's not only the hair (although I really, really prefer it when it's shorter), but the whole 90's "air" of those productions that makes me cringe a bit... ;-)

You know, I bought the disc set just for this scene. I guess I might look at the episodes as well, but who am I kidding.

Is it wrong to be so obsessed?

Absolutely not. I think it's wrong *not* to be obsessed with JF! ;-)

Lovely pretty pictures. Well, it's JF, duh!

Anyway. I'm the mod of the new jf_icontest comm and would love to use your screencaps in one of the upcoming challenges. Can I? Please? I'd credit of course.

Also, feel free to check out the comm and join if you like what you see.
