This may be my last batch of icons for awhile. I've fallen into a bit of a rut where I feel like icontests are more of an obligation to keep them running then actually fun. As a result a lot of my icons have been simple crop and coloring adjustments; largely of the same kind as they've become a bit of a routine it seems. I've done very little ( Read more... )

inuawards is one of the few comms I'm probably keeping, and it's a lot easier with the rotations where I have a week I usually don't have to do much if anything. ♥

The icontests where I feel like I have to submit every week to even have enough for voting though... I've felt for awhile now that they were staying open by sheer force of will of alone. I'm thinking it may be time to raise the white flag for them and be glad they had the good runs they did.

There will likely be a rather long post coming on my personal journal today or tomorrow. I have a ton to write about. I've just been too tired without time to do it, or like last night - totally in the wrong frame of mind.

Aw, I'm sorry things aren't as fun for you... I hope things will pick up, but until then, take a break, you deserve it!

I love your animal icons, especially 8, and 28! I'm also really loving 40, the crop is so cute!

Just kinda feels like I'm churning out icons just to keep icontests from having to extend or close and it has lost its heart, y'know? Not to say I won't make anything. I might make some more animal icons or I've been thinking about doing some stock image nature icons. Just it'll all be fun stuff that's by choice when I feel like it, not because a community needs it to run or I'm on an agenda.

Thanks! I blame the animal icons on just adopting a new kitten and the fact that I'm riding horses twice a week again. A lot more interested in them then spending time at home on photoshop now-a-days. :3
