Just so everyone knows...

It really hurts my feelings when you don't respond to my post about Nethack, telling of your own struggle with the addiction.

Yeah, I'm SOOO addicted to muffins. It started off innocently. We met up at a bar, sipped at some mixed drinks, and had a great conversation. Before I knew it, she was in my stomach. But that was enough, I had a muffin craving. I just kept wanting more, more, MORE. Finally, I couldn't resist. I went to Mac's, went up to the shelf, and ate every muffin in sight. Plus some plutonium. The combination transformed me into what I am today, a muffin who eats muffins.

(I have no clue what the hell Nethack is about, so I made up a lame story. Enjoy!)

Okay, Sprague... this is why women run away. Running after and tackling them isn't going to work. You need to develop interests other than muffinology. Doesn't really matter what, so long as it is an interest that already exists out there in the world. Sit down with a pencil and paper, and list some things you'd like to learn more about or do. Now go back through the list, and cross off everything that doesn't have at least a 5% mindshare. Those aren't going to get you any ass.

Now, pick the remaining interest that appeals to you most, and get into it. Congratulations, you now have an interest that you can discuss with new people without scaring them away or being instantly branded "that weird muffin guy." Nobody is going to day "that weird muffin guy." It's like the "time to make the donuts" guy, but nobody is going to put you on TV, because you're not white, you're not rich, and you're not really good at sports.

Just because it's oldschool doesn't make it worth playing. I'll take shiny graphics thanks =)

Hey, there are graphic tilesets, now. In fact, I'm presently working on a larger, smoother tileset for my own enjoyment. The fact that it's turn-based is nice for me, because I have nothing to blame for my countless deaths but my own idiocy.

Beats the shit out of AoE III. ... Ties with Civ IV.

I play World of Warcraft. I won't even bother trying to defend *that* addiction.
