The taste of chocolate and raspberry melts on Arthur's tongue, like ganache drizzled over his taste buds. Arthur chews, swallows. He makes a thoughtful noise and licks his lips. "Hmm. Been experimenting again?"

The corner of Merlin's mouth quirks up, but his gaze is still locked on Arthur's lips. "Well, I know how you love raspberry," Merlin says. "You like it?"

Merlin's grin is soft and a little hopeful, and Arthur can't help but feel a gentle smile spread across his own features. "Stop fishing for compliments, Merlin," Arthur chides, brushing his thumb across a stripe of flour on Merlin's cheek. "You know it's bloody brilliant."

Merlin's grin widens then, beaming and bright in the way that Arthur likes to think is especially reserved for him. I have no idea, having not seen it for myself, but it just suddenly reminded me!
And, I think iTunes is still offering Morte D'Arthur as a free download. The ENTIRE episode. I was squeeing louder than me laughing at said Sweeney Todd thing, and believe me, that was LOUD.
