Marvel 616 - Carol Danvers

169 on AO3
83 on ff.net (counting all the other Carols in comics, ff.net doesn't sort well, really)

I'm not really sure what's happening with the Marvel section, but here's some duplicates from just the raw categories:

Marvel
Janet Van Dyne
Janet Van Dyne (Marvel 616)

Natasha Romanoff
Natasha Romanova

Marvel Comics
Natasha Romanoff
Natasha Romanova

Marvel 616
Natasha Romanoff
Natasha Romanova

I'd just list 616, myself, as you have Ults listed separately. Also, there's a bunch of people from smaller comics in with the main categories.

Rowena Ravenclaw (Harry Potter) was rejected, but she seems to have fewer than 500 fics on AO3 and FF.net:

http://www.fanfiction.net/book/Harry-Potter/3/0/0/1/0/2452/0/0/0/1/0/

Also, Warcraft and World of Warcraft are listed as separate fandoms, but Warcraft is an umbrella term for the entire series, of which WoW is one game. A few characters are nominated twice because of this (Jaina Proudmoore, Lady Liadrin, Onyxia). All the Warcraft universe characters should probably be merged into one fandom, either Warcraft or World of Warcraft -- it doesn't really matter which, since all of the nominated Warcraft characters do appear in WoW.

(And can we talk about how excited I am that someone other than me nominated Onyxia?!)

Awesome!

Also, I just noticed that in WoW, Li Li Stormstout's name is misspelled (it says Stormsnout). And am I having a brain fart, or was Moira Bronzebeard in there before the merge was done? It wasn't me who nominated her, but I'm pretty sure I saw her name.

eta: And in The West Wing, Mrs. Landingham's name is misspelled (it says Mrs. Lanningham). Her full name is Dolores Landingham, which seems to be the canonical AO3 tag for her.

In Beauty and the Beast (TV 2012) I'm seeing some character tags that seem to be duplicates:

Heather Chandler
Heather Chandler (BatB)
Alex (Beauty and the Beast)
Alex Salter

You aren't having a brain fart; Moira should be in there. I know for a fact that she was nominated. Unless she's somehow too popular, but that seems unlikely?

Hi! There's a duplicate: Catlin AC-7892 II turns up in both Alliance-Union - C. J. Cherryh and Cyteen Series - C. J. Cherryh (both under Books & Literature). If Cyteen (and presumably its sequel, Regenesis), are being considered separately from the rest of the Alliance-Union books (Heavy Time, Hellburner, Downbelow Station, Rimrunners, Merchanter's Luck, etc.), then Catlin should only be under Cyteen.

I think AO3 has the books sorted both ways: sometimes Cyteen/Regenesis is part of the A-U books and sometimes it's not.

No worries! I doubt anyone would try to write Catlin without Ari II, so that would keep her under Cyteen anyway when it comes to actual stories.

The Lord of the Rings - All Media Types (4)
Could be merged with
The Lord of the Rings - J. R. R. Tolkien (10)
Since no one is talking about movie characters, it seems like it could all go in book fandom. You'd just have to add Dís and Haradrim women to the The Lord of the Rings - J. R. R. Tolkien category.

Now Dís and Haradrim women seem to be in Lord of the Rings, while everything else is in The Lord of the Rings.
