I'm looking at the movies section of the nominations, and for the Batman (movies-Nolan), one of the pairings listed includes Wonder Woman, which is a crossover. I was thinking about doing this fest, and that's one of the fandoms I'd like to write for, but I know nothing about Wonder Woman and couldn't write a crossover that includes her. I know the rules say crossovers can't be a main pairing sign-up but can be listed as preferences...I guess what I'm saying is, if I sign up with Batman (movies-Nolan) as a fandom I'll write for, I won't get stuck with only the crossover option for that fandom, right?

We explain in this post, the issue with AO3 showing tags in the wrong categories. There is also a list of the right pairing in the right fandoms there. When you signup you'll have to the option to pick specific pairings or to offer to any of the nominated pairings. Either way you wouldn't get stuck with the Bruce/Diane pairing. Hope that clears up the confusion.

That makes sense. Thanks for clearing it up for me! (Sorry I missed that post somehow)

Will we be told if our nominations go through or not?

In relation to that when I made my nominations Teen Wolf was a part of the TV category but I don't see it up there anymore.

When you view your nominations they'll show as accepted, pending, or rejected.

In the case of Teen Wolf, we accidentally accepted it when it actually wasn't big enough. However, when we delete it, it doesn't change what is shown on your nominations list.

I could not figure out how to nominate pairings as ineligible, but in the Fullmetal Alchemist fandom there are over 3,500 works on FF.net featuring the Roy/Riza pairing (and over 250 works on AO3), so they should not be eligible for a rare pair fest.

This actually goes under List of Ineligible Pairings, but we'll be sure to add it. Thanks!

Star Trek 2009 is showing up in the TV category as well as the movie one - Is it possible to nominate for TOS seperately to the 2009 movie? Or is the archive conflating them?

That's a bug on AO3's end. You're welcome to nominate TOS as no one has done so yet.

How come all my nominations involving female America were rejected? They don't seem to violate any of the rules and female America did show up in a published comic strip

Sorry, neither of us mods are into Hetalia, and a google search showed America as male, so we thought that you were after genderswap which would have been something you could put in the optional details. Could you provide us with something to confirm this is something that happened in canon as all we're finding is cosplay and fanart? Thanks.

There is a link to a scanlation from chapter 19 of volume 4 of the manga. Estonia wakes up to find God has put him in the genderswitched universe.

The mangaka couldn't draw girls when he started so most the main characters are males. To make up for that he has been doing art and little things with the opposite gender version. A good deal of the cast has official opposite gender designs, but if you want to be techinical then only America, England, Russia, China, Japan, Italy and Germany have appeared in actual comic strips in female form.

Thanks for the clarification. We have no way of seeing what we've rejected, so if you could let us know here, we'll add them for you.
