“I forgive you for everything. I really do, but do you realize this is just a dream?” a man asked Ginny quietly. He had his back to her so she couldn’t make out who this mystery man was. She shook her head at his comment, even though she knew the man couldn’t see her action.
“I just want you to forgive me,” she answered him, ignoring his question.

The low taps of pebbles gently hitting her window pane weren’t noticeable at first, but their continued presence caused a sleeping Ginny to be roused from sleep. She grumbled something under her breath as she slipped out of the bed she shared with her husband, Blaise Zabini. She glanced at the clock nearby before reaching the window. She motioned for the man throwing the pebbles to meet her by the door. He nodded his head in agreement and went to meet her. She rubbed her eyes a little as she slowly made her way to the door.
“It’s midnight, Theodore. What are you doing here this late?”
“I had to see you,” Theodore replied. He was wearing blue dress robes and Ginny couldn’t help but notice that they really complimented his eyes. He was giving Ginny the once over and the glint in his eyes made it obvious he was attracted to her.
“Well, you saw me. Now could you please leave? I need to rest for work tomorrow.”
Ginny started to close the door, but Theodore stopped her and said, “Can I ask you something before I leave? It’s a quick question. I promise.”
She nodded.
“Why’d you kiss me in the corridor?”
“Moment of weakness,” she replied dismissingly and started to close the door again.
He stopped her again. “You don’t have moments of weakness. I really appreciate that you spoke on my behalf before the Wizengamot. My own sister wouldn’t even do that for me and it almost got me thrown into Azkaban.”
“That’s what friends are for.”
“Do friends also kiss friends on the lips?”
Ginny blushed and said, “It was a mistake; a really stupid mistake. Can we forget it ever happened and move on with our lives? We both know I’m happily married to Blaise and we have a beautiful little girl together while you’re happily single, living the good life in London. Can it stay that way without people’s lives getting ruined in the process?”
Theodore nodded but couldn’t stop himself from saying, “We both know there’s something between us, an unspoken attraction.”
“It’s going to remain unspoken,” she hissed at him.
“Mum, I want some warm milk,” Ginny’s daughter said as she came into view. She had overheard her mother talking to Theodore and wanted to see what was going on. In the process she ended up getting thirsty so she figured she’d ask her mother for milk since she was already awake. Ginny jumped because her daughter’s sudden presence had surprised her. Theodore glanced at the little girl, who was about five years old and when she noticed he was staring he politely smiled at her and waved.
Ginny kneeled down beside her daughter. “Honey, why don’t you get some milk and bread out of the refrigerator? I’ll join you in a few minutes. Right now I have to say goodbye to Mr. Nott.”
“Okay! Goodbye Mr. Nott,” she replied chipperly as she shuffled off into the kitchen.
“Now listen to me Theodore. There’s never going to be anything between us. I kissed you once and I don’t even know why that happened. It was nice, but can never be repeated. I’ll never leave my husband to be with you because I love him. I love the life I have with him and our daughter. Nothing you can say will ever change that. Do you understand?”
Theodore was seething on the inside, but wasn’t going to show this to Ginny. “I’m sorry you feel this way Ginny. I won’t bother you again.”
“Good. Goodbye Theodore.”
Twenty minutes later, after they finished their sandwiches and milk, she was putting her daughter to bed. Then she slipped quietly into her own bed and fell asleep fairly quickly.
”I didn’t mean to kiss Theodore. It just happened once. It meant nothing. I promise,” Ginny was explaining to the same mystery man from before, but this time she could see that the man she was talking to was Blaise.
“I know. That’s why I forgive you,” he replied.
The couple hugged. Suddenly Theodore came out of nowhere with his wand drawn. He pointed it in their direction and shouted the killing curse at an unsuspecting Blaise.
This dream startled Ginny so much that it caused her to wake up again. She started crying uncontrollably. Blaise heard her cries and woke up as well. He held her close to him and said, “Shh. It’s going to be okay. It was just a bad dream.”
