here Warmth
Bill pulls Draco to him, burying them deeper in between the sheets. It’s been years since Draco shied away from his embrace when the rain started to become deeper and the lighting blinded them. At first Draco wouldn’t let anyone touch him, not even his own mother. People argued he deserved to die, roth in Askaban or get punished by his crimes, but Harry didn’t let them and when needed he became responsible for Draco, on top of everything else.
His mother wasn’t happy, neither was Ginny. Ron shouted many times that Draco was a little dark lord and through everything Harry became cold, distant and fierce. He made sure Lucius went back to prison, he hunted all death eaters known, but he kept the children apart, made sure they were listen to.
Bill was surprised when Harry asked for his and Charlie’s help, and Fleur’s, even if Bill and her were already falling apart. Neville and Luna were central to make Grimmauld a place to help those who lost everything in the war, from both sides. And Draco was put in Bill supervision, because he was dealing with a break down and the fact that Greyback gave both of them a little present.
So at first Draco would flinch from him and try to throw things at his head, then he would curse in french and german and try to make him leave, one or twice he tried to escape, until Bill had him pinned to the bed, until he dropped from exhaustion. Now, Bill holds him close, the lighting doesn’t scare Draco anymore, and he can sleep through the tempest.
How apt. Maybe these are the beginning of the sunny days.
