There's only one real gay bar here that's got any general appeal, and I think there are only two total if you count the leather bar. I've never been to the leather bar - Much older crowd - but there's always a sizable percentage of tourists in the other one, in spite of a pretty strict membership requirement. Would it piss me off to be a tourist attraction in the only place available for me to unwind, socialize and flirt? HELL YEAH.

Well, I dont go to bars much any more :( but, back in the day, there was a fantastic gay bar around here with a dance floor and an outdoor patio with fireplace and all the boys were always so welcoming. It was the one place us 'goth' girls could go and be left alone by men but still have a good time and have good conversation. The boys frequently hung out and wanted makeup tips...it was a young crowd, doubt I could get away with that today. Still, I totally understand where your coming from, there should be places where groups of people can have their own identity and not be diluted by the mainstream (straight white christian males-especially,lol)
