Up to the minute news

In the last five minutes the following two things have happened to me: 1) a SUV kept slowly rolling by me as I watered the front lawn (it is nighttime) and finally stopped after the fourth pass. I think it's really fantastic news and some of the only news I have heard lately that isn't depressing. I don't know what you think, but I don't think many people care. People don't even think about this planet let alone the other planets,or the galaxy,or the universe. Now if I can just be apart of a manned mission to Mars to explore the surface including the mysterious "FACE" and various other anomalies!

Nobody cares! 99.9% of people are only thinking about bullshit that doesn't matter like day to day activities. No one is thinking long term like how are we going to get off this dying planet? We only have a few billion years before the sun explodes and we need to be out of the solar system by then.

Or to at least create a vault(like the seed vault they built in Norway)stocked full of specimens, human history..kind of like a time capsule. Also, water on Mars could very well mean LIFE. Life at some point in the past?! This alone is staggering and amazing. But would people even be interested in that? Probably not. The only way people would give a shit is if slimy creatures were discovered on Mars and were flying here to destroy people's houses and deplete their savings. Which..would rule ( ... )

It's possible, but if so they already had the key to the car they were going to steal or else the thief was so fast at hotwiring the car that he deserves it.
