Stories from the retirement home

I was recalling an anecdote from an old job earlier, and it brought back a flood of memories. I worked as a dining services supervisor for a retirement home outside Reading, PA. You wouldn't believe the tizzy the entire nursing and managerial staffs were in over that stolen wheelchair. It was so hard to not laugh while my boss ranted about the whole debacle. :-P

I really could never get enough of hearing that woman's love stories. Even though she repeated herself (simply because she didn't remember having told the story already) there was just such a light in her eyes that it was beautiful. It's sad how many people can't appreciate that sort of thing in life; chances to share in someone's love and happiness are far too few, we should relish them when we have the chance.
