so. does anyone know how to set and enforce a "minimum order amount" (as in "cash total") on a PayPal shopping cart? the docs i've torn through so far have been useless.
so after looking more, i'm gonna say, go with cart software that interfaces with paypal. That way the cart sets the minimum and paypal is there for just taking payment.
yeah, that's looking to be the option. i just thought that since it seems like such a simple and common option, that there'd be a stock PayPal solution for it. :/
honestly bradley, i already did all this for another company. paypal blows but you can write a quick interface to paypal in php. i can give you what i wrote if you want to use that as a start.
oh, i'm totally game for that, i just wanted to see if i was missing something totally obvious. Paypal has a bunch of mods that amount to passing a pre-specified hidden field, so if it were just a matter of that, i could save myself a bunch of integration time.
its actually pretty easy conceptually but the cart i wrote is specific to the site. anyway, i'm dumping a copy of the site now and I'll tar it up, and mail it over to you.

We do not have a shopping cart.
There is a $10.00 minimum order requirement.

Rule 1: You must place an order by emailing or phoning us.
Took me 2x through it to notice that. :)
