I've been trying to come up with the best way to express how much this story is improving without it sounding like your writing was bad to begin with, because that would be a lie. This story is very nicely done. I love that you don't automatically turn Harriet into a saint, or female Hitler.

You're keeping your head about you, reminding people that these are two different women, yet fusing them and keeping both personalities. It's a nice touch, a nice evolution of the character.

Tom and Matthew are characters I have no association with, but can approve that they fit well with the English mentality of the day according to the program.

Donna and the Doctor are both well written. I even loathe the idiot, so, thumbs up!

That bit about the popcorn made me smile. Thank you, I needed it.

Thanks again - it was actually kind of hard because Isobel is about 100 times nicer than Harriet. Isobel is also almost thirty years older, and living in a completely different world where she has to put all her energy into womanly things and not just do what she wants.

Tom and Matthew actually had a fairly sweet relationship considering their class differences - Tom married the younger daughter of the earl and used to be their chauffer, and Matthew was the unexpected middle class heir to the earldome after all of Robert's male relatives died.

The popcorn was fun :)

"This food ration is pleasing" hee :)

Heh. I can totally hear Tenant deliver those lines.

Nice twist making the Sycorax fair traders!

Tennant does has a predictable voice as the Doctor. I know you don't watch downton but he's mostly taking pot shots at Matthew as he rips on lawyers.

I think they got lucky as the Sycorax were kinda surprised to have the fun ended. And Tom is an Irishman and they do have the gift of dealmaking....
