Also, it's always a pleasure to see Kara saving herself. And now she'll even save her adversary. From her lover. That's kind of unusual but still fun. :D
I really thought it would be unrealistic for her to be the damsel in distress. Felix has gotten a lot of the positive moments here - he's pretty badass, so he doesn't *need* to rescue Kara to look good.
I'm glad the Kara was able to free herself, now she has to save Felix from Kat...not the other way around. Kat wants to bring out the worst in Felix to prove some sort of point and if he gives in to it she win, even if she dies. I'm not saying she didn't have it coming or, that he should let what she did to Kara go unpunished. I just wish there was another way and that Kara reaches them before thing get too bad.
Now another point of interest...AS one who also loved the oringinal BSG (the show that offically got me hooked on Scifi) I noticed the part where Kara saw the Transmission on the old view screen. I remember the a scene in the orignal show where the same sceen was viewed by Apollo and Starbuck (I think). Great update...Looking forward to more.
Yeah, basically Kara has to stop Felix from doing something awful to Kat... even tho the bitch deserves it a LOT, if Felix does it... he might not bounce back.
Yer very close on the transmission. Its in the episode "The Hand of God" and ironically Apollo and Starbuck never see it. The "sun crypt" in this story is where, in that episode, Apollo was hanging out, trying to spot earth on his crappy old equipment. They got a really poor transmission early in the episode, no real details. At the end of the episode, he and STarbuck reflect that Earth is a long way off and gosh it would be nice to know if they were on the right track. They leave.... and the transmission of the first moon landing comes in much more clear.... so very "anchient astronaut" :)

I miss that BSG too.
It had its problems but I LIKED that Apollo was always so Dudley Dooright, an Officer Always Strives to Set a Positive Example for the Warriors.
I miss a Commander Adama who would never think to question his peoples right to survive or try to overthrow the government and lock up the President even though he obviously despised politicians.
Starbuck...hated him, Kara is actually an improvement to my mind.
Tigh not being drunk on duty all the time...
Sorry this is the wrong forum for that, love the part, good to see Starbuck in top form. Look forward to more.

Oh I miss that BSG too. Frankly the problems were huge and I can see why the show didn't last but there were fun moments.
Apollo was such a noble idiot. I actually liked Starbuck as the funloving rogue with a heart of gold.... and Tigh was one of my favs....It's funny that the character, in personality anyway, on the new show that comes closest to Tigh, is Gaeta
You surprised me - that isn't how I imagined it would go! But you are a great author and know your characters so well, it's perfect. Frak do I love this Kara!!! And that hasn't been something I could say for a long time. And she's going to be the knight in shining armor saving her man - I love it
( ... )
Oh Felix is going to get past it, don't worry. A lot of his problem is with unneccessary killing. The key word is "unnecessary" :)
There will definetely some well... affection.
Its funny... I was like six when bsg was on and I remember Starbuck as my favorite but I think I was more annoyed that Boomer was made into a chick and a Cylon....
I was a little older than 6 when the show was on and thinking back on it it makes me laugh. For example, the episode where all the men get sick and shock!!!!! Women have to be viper pilots!!! On noes!!!!! What a funny little show it really was, I have to say. But as a kid, it was pretty awesome!
I remember that episode, it was hilarious! So typical of the era. Apollo got into that huge argument about it and she was going 'but Athena's a warrior!' lol
