Oh, the plot thickens. Cool.

The one thing I especially liked this time was Gaeta's interaction with Baltar though. It's so much fun to see these two develope a relationship that's very different from canon, but equally likely. And you're making a good point about Baltar being used to having graduates around.

There was even a rumor that he and Kara had re-enacted some sort of animal pornography while pretending to be on the cast of Caprica Wild World.

Yeah, I sorta have this image of Baltar in university with a bunch of younglings trailing after him like House, and Baltar treating them all like crap. Gaeta really doesn't consider himself *smarter* than Baltar... he's just faster at math and he's a little frustrated at the attitutde because it isn't as though he's having a lot of fun either.

And he's right - Baltar basically is judging him for something he can't help. Interestingly, this AU really never gets into Baltar's cylon issues since they never went to New Caprica.

I jut had to dig about the animal porn though :)

Oh noes! They took Kara! I love that she lives in his quarters now. :-) This is the bestest story!

They will regret this kidnapping. And not just because of Gaeta. Kara will make them regret it.

Yay for peril! Gaeta to the rescue! Though maybe Kara will rescue herself? She's that type of woman!

Hee she doesn't actually live there, but Felix knows, from boyfriends, that he needs to make space for her!

"They" will get a come uppance! Oh yes, their uppance will come!

I haven't decided just how the rescue happens. I think Kara isn't the sort to quietly wait while tied up in a chair.

So "They" have kidnapped the fleets "Most likely to kill on the spur of the moment" winner and are trying to blackmail the new "Batshit Crazy Killer" award nominee. Ok Felix isn't really Michael Myers without the mask or knife but a good portion of the fleet see him that way ( ... )

Yeah, the thinking behind the kidnap wasn't clever but the big player involved is more angry than clever.

Kat clearly has been jealous of Felix.

But Baltar is also miffed.

Things will require solvent, lets say.

It is STarbuck, but she is *capable* of making mistakes in judgement concerning her personal safety. Keep in mind that this is clearly occuring on the Galactica where Kara tends to view herself as Queen Bitch of the Mountain. She can be overconfident and unsuspecting that someone, or some people, have gone seriously batshit.

She certainly won't be a compliant hostage....
