My father died twenty years ago today.

Weird.

My dad died 31 year ago. It's an odd feeling when you're older than your parents will ever get.

My sister will know how you feel in April, when she turns 37; Dad only reached 36. I always knew he had a short life, but just how short never sunk in until my sister's 36th birthday.

Wow. I remember that day. I was almost 5.

Yeah, I remember coming home that night quite well; I think I might have seen you and your dad before anybody else.

oh man - i don't know what to say but i just had to comment. you must have been *very* young - but hopefully you have some good memories of him.....

Yeah, oddly enough; I don't remember life very consistently before the age of 10, but I do remember my father quite well. And I hear from everybody that I turned out so much like him.
