Dark Side consumes me

The Force Unleashed as consumed my life. After a few mishaps in starting out, I've completed the light and dark side endings. I also found the coolest Lightsaber color, the black blade. Enough about me, though

I am having fun, but you are right: it's very linear.

Is there an obvious choice between the two endings?

Not really. Just know when you are given the oportunity to go attack the Emperor, look to the Right. Your choice should be clear at that point.
