OMAHA, Neb. - A Nebraska doctor said Wednesday that he will perform third-term abortions in Kansas after the slaying of abortion provider George Tiller, but would not say whether he will open a new facility or offer the procedure at an existing practice.

I'm glad to see this too. I was disheartened when I heard that the Tiller family would not be reopening the clinic. I understood and sympathized, but was disappointed as well.

I appreciate the sacrifice that Dr. Carhart is making. Time to make another donation to Planned Parenthood. Did you know you can specify that your money go to fund abortions, or tubal ligations(sp?) or vasectomies? My sister asked if she could specify the person to get the vasectomy, but they said no. SFSF

I'd heard this on the radio yesterday. Welcome news, following the Tiller family's decision to close that clinic for good. Not hat I blame them at all, but...

And in all of this, am I the only one noticing that even the news people on NPR refer to the late Dr Tiller as an "abortion doctor", and completely leave out all the other services he provided? I'm getting rather irritated about it. There are so many parts to women's health care, all quite necessary, and a gentle competant person who provided them was murdered, and the only thing you hear about on the news is one little facet. Grrrr.
