I am steadfastly refusing to acknowledge the last episode even existed (because otherwise I feel dirty and wrong). It didn't happen. It wasn't there. Instead, I downed an entire glass of wine in 15 minutes. Probably not the best life choice, but it got me through that-which-shall-not-be-named

Addendum to my new headcanon replacing what the previous episode would have been if it weren't part one of this two-parter: this is a two-parter, during which the bit about Trakeena I commented on last episode happens somewhere.

Because really, there should be more of this episode. (Leo could damage his Starship Trooper armor and have to rip it off dramatically, probably shortly before the leap through space.

Also, space may not work that way for US, but this is strangely consistent with last season, where opening the hatch on the Megaship causes the ship's atmosphere to rush out into space, but then Silvy can ride one of the space surfboards with no problem. It makes no goddamn sense, but it makes the SAME no goddamn sense.

I read something about how it was originally Kendrix that Leo was supposed to save between the gaps of the ships, thus developing the romance between them, but this was around the time her cancer hit, thus Mike was put in instead.

Personally I love that Leo needs Mike to tell him dead Captain had a BOOK. A BOOK. oooooooh

And poor Kai! He's So so worried!! (and why the signal cuts out when it was working just fine before makes no sense, but hey, WHO CARES? Worried Kai is cute and worried)

Although... Inquiring minds want to know.... How did Hargen (or whatever scardycat guy) get a job as a soldier in the first place? And just how many books were aboard random ship and why hadn't evil monster thing collected them already? And why does the Heloship take off without Leo and Mike on it in the first place? And if Kai was on his Ranger ship thing (which he needed to save the day) then where were Damon, Mia and Kendrix's ship things since they were with Leo and Mike on the transport (although they never really show Damon this episode, was he on a smoke break or something?) And.. most importantly... why couldn't evil monster thing have accidently stripped Leo of his bulky trooper outfit?
