I wonder what the other Rangers are doing during this.

Having an orgy. Clearly it is the only explanation that makes sense. And since the rest of this episode doesn't make sense... well something has to be logical about it.

This season is probably the best candidate for "if not on camera, having sex," applying to any and everyone. Even Commander Stanton, though he probably doesn't sex the rangers.
