Promising beginning, quick fishiness?

Like, the clowns were so creepy, but not the putties or the pineapplepus thing, putties and pineapples don't carry the implicit threat of showing you 'balloon animals' in the dark that clowns always do...

The ending is good, where Billy trips and Jason and Trini catches him in their embrace. OT3!

I'm not convinced that the cardboard is the kid, because of the way Trini was carrying the cardboard. ...and Trini was a terrible babysitter, if some stranger started luring a baby cousin away during a fair, and it was luring, I would have started shouting.
