Mighty Morphin Power Rangers - The Movie - Part 1

I... don't think there are enough words to express how much I love this movie. I saw it in theatres. Twice. And I clearly remember forcing my parents to tape the Access Hollywood segment about the movie. (At least I think that was what it was? Whichever one of those shows covered it.) I owned this movie on VHS. It fills me with glee. So, yeah. (I ( Read more... )

I'm... kinda sad you didn't mention Billy taking down one of the ooze monsters unmorphed (though his line is kinda ridiculous...). I'm also pretty sure this scene is what made me like Billy a lot in this movie, due to ARMS~ ...though I wouldn't understand the full implications of that until much later~ :3

This movie is also the only early Power Rangers thing I remember seeing (oh dear lord, the memories that brings back D: I had Power Rangers as imaginary friends and... stuff. *laugh* The things I did when I was six~)

Adam is all kinds of adorable though.

Haha, I almost put that in. (But you ooze, you lose? Really?) Damn, he has nice arms though. *approves*

Adam is so beyond adorable.

Ye gods, I love this movie. It's horribly cheesy, and it's not aged well at all, but I still love it anyway.

And yes, Adam's line is the best one in this whole movie. It's the one everyone remembers! And it's so wonderfully adorable and... *splutters* Yeah. This movie single-handedly gave me a crush on him.

(The Stegosaurus Ranger is totally everyone's OC from when they were 10, right? Or was that just me?)
I was 13 myself, but no, you weren't alone. Mine was a Purple Ranger and ended up with Jason. Thank goodness that story never saw the light of day.

Ahahaha. I love this movie in all its cheesy glory, although it has not aged well at all. I remember thinking that the movie ranger suits were cool, but watching it again... not so much.

Adam is a FROG. Poor Adam. He is so adorable when he is being all emo. I'm so glad JYB came up with this adlib and the director put that in, because that is without a doubt my absolute favourite line in the movie. ♥

He does Emo SO WELL! Seriously, he's the best Emo Ranger in the entire series, all 17 seasons.

1) I would very happily ship Justin with Nico (from Turbo). The Fred/Justin age similarity never occurred to me, though. Hmm ( ... )

6) Actually, it's canon in the series as well that Rocky is SMART. He may be lacking common sense, sure, but in the whopping 3 character development episodes he gets, we are told (because when does this show ever SHOW something?) that Rocky is smart. He spends an afternoon studying with Billy for their ADVANCED math test. As in, Rocky is not being tutored by Billy in hopes of catching up in remedial or on-level math... they are studying together for their mutual advanced math class. And Billy, super-genius-when-convenient, is sure Rocky will ace it. You can't ace an advanced math test if you aren't at least a little bit smart, no matter how much you study ( ... )

I dunno. I kind of find that Rocky's academic moments are two-fold bullshit ( ... )

The only time Rocky is shown to be, well, anything at all other than a person to stand there in red is in those three episodes. He gets no development, no plot points, no characteristics, nothing at all outside of those episodes, except a few poorly acted one liners. I can't say it's fair to base a character's entire personality on a few poorly acted one liners and not the minuscule amount of actual developmental episodes said character gets ( ... )

Hooray for movie recap!!!!

I've always been a fan of this movie! Ivan Ooze is up there as one of my favorite villains that so much more could have been done with.

And no, you weren't the only one who wanted to be the stego ranger. Not that I ever thought about it when the show first came out. That was my little brother. Yeah.
