I know I'm not the first one to ask why Billy and Zack didn't see each other as putties. But it bears asking again.

...that just means Bulk and Skull should have been power rangers.

I concur. They deserve it after all they've been subjected to. All the esteem-breakers and therapy sessions. :D And in a few seasons of character development it (kinda) happens (not really).

They try Billy's ice device but, unsurprisingly, it doesn't work. Why am I not surprised? Billy discovers it's missing an extra computer chip that he just so happens to have on him... somewhere... and he slides it into place. Magically, that solved everything and the device now works.

He's doing it on purpose. Billy will save the day with his awesome... to make up for the lack of Billy speak, I suppose.

About the Billy speak today, though, I'm curious what sort of experimentation is going on that requires sunglasses for protection... there's something suggestive here, but my mind simply isn't dirty enough to make the connection... and for that, I am embarrassed

... You know, we didn't even think of that. Maybe since they're both under the spell it didn't affect them in that way?

I like the theory that Billy does that just to make them rely on him more. Maybe because he's afraid that they won't need him otherwise?

they are supposed to be the protective eyewear for science class

Sunglasses as protective eyewear? The scientist in me is crying.

Power Sword: The Next Generation

And now I want to watch Star Trek.

Angel Grove lacks quality education! Or maybe Billy just invented magic sunglasses?

And now I want to watch Star Trek.

I approve of this plan!

Billy was probably smart enough to invent magic sunglasses, but I'm going to go with the lacking quality education. Again one of those things I missed as a kid, though thinking back on it, I think I had harder school work in second grade than they did in high school.
