There's something of a double standard your professor seems to enjoy preaching. I'm willing to bet if everyone in Egghead was white, she would have asked why there were no black people in it, and accused you of racism anyway. It's difficult to mix race and humor when your white, because for all the preaching about equality, most people still only care about race.

Not everyone I showed the cartoons to enjoyed them, but none of them came up with the BS racist excuse. The ones who think THAT way are the same people bringing up the religion nonsense now, with all the "You can't say Christmas, because my non-christian child will be offended" shit.

If your professor wants real racist connotations, tell her to look at this.

wow i told her the same exact thing about if it was all white people it'd be all culturally diverse. i also threw in my arguement that everyone in doug was a different color and nothing was ever mentioned and the show was perfectly balanced. i have another chance to prove my agruement thursday ill let you know how it goes.

in my opinion you were subconscious about yr racism, which is the worst kind of racism 'cos it's something that comes naturally to you and when it is brought to yr attention you don't see anything wrong with it.

as far as you being afraid to sit with black people 'cos yr afraid they won't accept you... it's you that's seeing the racial barrier and it's you who is bringing the fear upon himself.

i don't know, that's just what it i think.

love you, randy.

Randy would hardly be the only guilty party if that were the case. The professor for example, seeing a theif with darker-than-usual skin and automatically assuming he was black, then in a twist of irony accusing the character's creator of being racist based on her incorrect assumption brought on by her own subliminal prejudices.
