Thank you!

How did the idea pop up? Credit my first beta-reader, Lexin, for pointing out that Earendil's 'reward' was anything but. I've made no secret of my dislike for the ending of the POTC trilogy. Will Turner as the immortal captain of the Flying Dutchman -- how romantic! Um . . . no. That's more like a living hell.

It just kind of occurred to me that they had something in common.

Nice! I especially like this one:

"Ai, Elbereth! Whom did you run afoul of? Morgoth himself?"

"Worse -- studio executives." Turner paused, his brows knitting. "Whatever that means."

ROTFL! Well, it *is* worse - studio executives will not only destroy your character, they also keep the copyrights!

It does make you wonder about good and its reward versus evil and its reward.
It seems that srarting in the bible, all through history and literature, the reward is something that mostly the "shining ones" will consider as such.
And if I sound a little bitter, its because this story reminded me of how it is in real life as well.
Sorry for depressing whoever reads this, but on a brighter note:
Thank you for an interesting story which left me in a reflecting mood in a good way.
I liked it.

*cough* As in the Book of Job: You've been so faithful and virtuous that I'm going to let Satan kill your children and give you a nasty case of boils!

Good to see you here, Scarlet! I'm glad you liked this. :)
