Harrison Country by Steve Stiles

Well, kids, I'm very pleased to announce that another publication that will be debuting at Corflu Quire is Steve Stiles' TAFF report, Harrison Country, about his trip to the UK in 1968. I have the first copies in my hot, happy hands, stroking, stroking, stroking them. This is the first completed North American TAFF report since either Roy Tackett's ( Read more... )

fanzines, taff

Yay! Will copies be available from anyone at Boskone in a couple of weeks? For obvious reasons, it's easier for me to pick one up in person :->

Hm, well, there should be, shouldn't there? We should be able to arrange for that to happen.

Raises hand. Can hand-carry copies from Austin to Boston. Willing to serve as East Coast Agent to Boskone and other conventions I get to and to then send $$$ to Suzle or wherever I'm instructed to. Reporting for duty, and All That Jazz....

(Except for the potential problem of selling out in Austin, which seems entirely possible if I remember the initial print run correctly.)

Wonderful! Yes, let's see what's left over at the end of Corflu. I'm bringing fifty copies, but I'm sure other arrangements can be made if we sell all of those. Thanks, Geri!

We're bringing a oneshot. Which might be done. Maybe. And the rest of the Corflu bags. And a never-worn still-bright Corflu 10 shirt for the auction, donated to be sold for corflu.org. Mmm, aTom art...

It'd be great to see another fanzine from you guys, if it works out that way. I'm not sure I know what the Corflu 10 shirt looks like, but I guess I'll find out!

If it fits, you'll want to bid on it. It rocks.

Okay, so they're asteroids. The shirt still rocks.

How nice to learn that Steve has finally finished his TAFF report. It is more or less a complete version, isn't it? Anyway, off the top of my head I'd agree that the Moffatt effort is the last full length NA TAFF report. Is Terry Carr's article/summary of his trip more recent that Roy Tackett's?

Excellent question. According to Mr. Langford's TAFF website, Terry's "condensed trip report" was published in '84, while RoyTac's was published in '85.
