Well, not that I blame you, the horny little guys are kind of cute, and those rainbows are better than beer farts any day, but what was *your* reasoning?
There wasn't any reasoning. Even before I could walk some vital nerve centre in my brain was squealing 'Horsies! Horsies!' This may be genetic as, I'm told that both of my grandmothers were great horsewomen, but truthfully, I think it has more to do with the way I was raised and my ASD. When/where I grew up you either had Barbies or My Little Pony. My mother discouraged Barbie- she felt rather strongly that they lead to poor self image- and from my own personal viewpoint I was certainly interested in the pretty clothes and accessories. Playing with Barbie, however, usually involves play based on human relationships. Me + bad and at and generally uninterested in human relationships and human shaped things = obsession with MLP and all things horsie and sparkling. I had a huge collection of MLP and assorted and they were arranged in incredibly sophisticated and complex relationships and families based on...well, just about everything, really...
Basically, I can't really tell you for certain. But a lot of things went into it
