A lot of times, I've come across students who had given me such a shock that my phlegmatic nature could not at all keep up with how to react. Worse, the thought of "what should I have done?" lingers on long-after the incident

I have no words for him. Though I may have a look reserved for people like him: I'll stare at him til he feels uneasy...and I'll throw in a "taas-ng-kilay" action that clearly says "I am not amused."

I mean, seriously?! How could anyone just take a spit-soaked, chewed up gum wrapped in tissue, from another, without being in some sort of relationship?
Even I would hesitate to do it for a sibling/a bf, not unless they're so sick they cant do it for themselves.
If he is a very sick patient of mine, now thats a different story.
I would call the hospital's housekeeping services. LOL.
If I really absolutely have to do it, I'd double-glove.
