It's a beautiful day: Obligatory Obama post is obligatory.

So yeah, time for a another sappy post about why I'm so happy about Obama.

Yes, I agree with most of his policies, I believe in his vision for this country, and I think he is the right man to run this country right now, but besides all that, the symbolism and reaction (INTERNATIONAL response) is extraordinary.

i don't really know you, but i'm sorry. that is just whacked in the head.

i support mccain, but srsly, people like that are so embarassing to a party. if i did something like that i would lose about 90% of my friends from RL and LJ.

i'll give him a chance, but i just can't wrap my mind around the democrat fiscal policies.

i never have been able to. i won't count him out until something actually happens, though.

but i will be on him like liberals on bush if he does something super nutso. i don't think that'll happen, though. his choice of republicans for his cabinet make me a little happier.

Regardless of whether or not someone voted for the President, they should all support him. Even if we don't agree with everything he does (which will never happen), he's still the leader of the nation, a symbol of Americans to other nations. How the country has turned on Bush, and the things Americans have said about him, is rather disheartening; he was placed in a a very difficult situation after 9/11, and hindsight it always 20:20 so it's easy to cast blame and point out mistakes then, and not always easy to see the best solution in the split second you need to make it. On the same token, it's disappointing that Obama isn't even being given a chance by some people, too. We really need to try to pull together, America, and keep and open mind ( ... )

Yeah, it really burned me when McCain's supporters openly booed Obama during his concession speech. That was completely disrespectful. I know I've talked a lot of shit about Bush, but I would never openly disrespect the man by booing him (of course, I wouldn't boo anyway; it's tacky).
