and IT DOESN'T MAKE SNAPE LESS OF AN INTERESTING/COMPLEX CHARACTER.

I just think that it makes him even more interesting because now we KNOW FPR CERTAIN that he is/was able to LOVE!!!!!!!

I was sobbing SO HARD when I read that. When he died, I actually had to set the book aside and cry for a good five minutes or so.

Just thinking about it makes me cry :(

I agree! I think it added a lot to his character and helped explain the way Snape felt about Harry.
