Own Personal Style Post!
Here is how it shall work:
Find the most recent picture of yourself/take a picture of yourself wearing something you’d wear on a typical day. TYPICAL DAY, PEOPLE. Don’t try to spice it up or anything. Nobody will be impressed :| (not that we’d be able to really tell or anything…it’s teh internets after all. But still, be genuine).
Post the photo as a comment and list what you are wearing in it. Simple? Oui.
Come up with a name for your own personal style. Yep, just make it up! None of this preppy, goth, punk, vintage, emo, or hipster crap labels that get thrown around like it’s nobody’s business. Something all your own and unique. It can be ridiculous or profound; it can be lyrics or a saying or even in a completely different language. It hardly matters as long as you had an ounce of creativity to come up with it yourself!
Post the comment and take a gander of the other looks and styles of your fellow internet whores. Comment on whichever ones draw you in.
Oh, and please don’t be rude about people’s photos or clothing choices. That’s NOT ON and it makes you look like an idiot >:| THE ONLY IDIOT ALLOWED HERE IS ME.
What is the point of all this? Well, that’s a pretty good question. I honestly just randomly thought of the idea a week ago and I got good feedback on it. I thought it would be a fun idea since, believe it or not, we all care about our appearance to some extent. Yes, even those of you who convince yourself that you don’t give a damn. WE KNOW YOUR SECRET! We see you searching for the perfect outfit in the morning. We see you shopping for those new shoes you’ve wanted for ages. We see those cute little accessories that you drool over. And we definitely see you fishing for compliments around your friends (we all do it, but some are just more nonchalant than others). Who is this “we”? I HAVE NO IDEA. D:
In conclusion, I feel that everyone should feel happy about they way they look, dress, and present themselves daily. So whether you’re into very simple style or you love to go all out, this is juts a chance for you to share your style for fellow LJers (or…just the people reading this post…ahem).
