I liked your post, I have many comments, actually
1) I like Fr. Hoffmann. I went to mass with my dad when I was home for Thanksgiving and I liked his homily a lot. I felt like he was speaking to me directly. Crazy! And I'm sorry that he wasn't able to be at your wedding.
2) the way that the Catholic church views women and sexuality is actually one of the reasons that I have stopped going to mass and such...so your feelings on NFP are not outrageous...and I would actually like to hear them. I am super curious
3) That's adorable that Mr. Galmish and Mr. Havey gave you and Dustin a Bible :)
4) I was talking to my friend Pat the other day, who has a Catholic mother and Jewish father and he said to me something that was probably meant to be a joke but made sense to me "you can never stop being a Catholic unless you become a Jew."
5) I think you and I are in the same boat on a lot of things. My faith has never faltered, but my religion has. And to me, there is a difference.
