The way that I was taught that a new species comes about is, a part of a particular species gets sectioned off and develops in accordance with their surroundings to the point that they develop so differently from their ancestors that they are classified as a new species. The question as to whether we will be killed off by the next species of homo sapiens or homo sapiens sapiens or what ever it is we currently are seems silly. How exactly are they going to be killing us off? Wouldn't it just be us evolving?
I have also heard that they will look just like us, but with bigger heads (due to brain size).

we lived with our predecessors for several thousand years before they disappeared. it took us a long time to kill them.
but, in fact, how speciation occurs is not quite my point…i think.

I'm sorry, I was paying more attention to your conversation with your creator than the original point to the post. I wanted to address, more so, the idea that we would be "killed off" than anything else. I think of it as more of a - we would be replaced.(try not to think so violently)

Speaking of your "listening to" in this post, wasn't there to be some music coming my way? I've forgotten how i was supposed to go about getting it.
