Besides, if it was the real Titanic, the Doctor wouldn't be able to save it. Thousands of people freezing to death or drowning is kind of a downer for a Christmas special, isn't it? *suddenly remembers the Christmas episode of House, where House ODs and his best friend finds him, gives him a disappointed look and leaves him semi-conscious in his own vomit* Joy to the world, people...

That is true. I just figured the Doctor and Kylie would bust out of there before the band played the ship down. I guess that doesn't really work, though. And Doctor Who's generally a happier show than House... on Christmas anyway.

I don't know, there were an awful lot of sea scenes for it *only* to be a space Titanic. I guess they could be flashbacks, the Doctor remembering being on the real Titanic. Guess we'll see.

Oops, never mind, I went back and looked at the youtube vid I got linked to, and they cut in bits of the real Titanic, which is no doubt where the ice and sea came from. Nice vid, though:
