My merry band of Ten-worshiping Whovian friends/relatives hated The End of Time Part One so much that they refused to watch Part Two. (To my great relief, since I certainly didn't want to see it again.)

I thought The End of Time: Part One was a complete embarrassment. I felt embarrassed WATCHING it. >.< Oh, god... the only thing that made it worth it was David Tennant's and John Simm's performances, which were *almost* stellar enough to make up for those horrible monologues and dialogues. Blech.

But I figured, RTD really, really loves to go all out on the second parts of his second-parters, so it was probably worth watching. And it was, really. I mean, it was still full of WTF-ery, but it wasn't LAUGHABLE. And it *was* touching, seeing The Big Goodbye of basically every character in seasons 1-4.

Pretty much the part I liked out of all of it was when the whole world turned into John Simm. It's difficult to say no to a worldful of John Simm.

Part Two made me pull my hair out in handfuls, I am pained to say. I had to watch it, of course. There wasn't any way I could avoid watching it. THEY'VE GOT ME BY THE BRAINSTEM.

They certainly weren't missing anything by not watching it, that is for certain.
