Popped down to Kinokuniya today. Still no BexBoy GOLD and that makes me sad. However, they had vol. 2 of Boku ni Natta Watashi in. Odd thing is I've yet to get a postcard about it. Picked it up anyway and had them scratch it off my special order list. One down, two more to go and two more to add. XD More text and pics behind the cut.

you like penguin revolution, too? i'm deciding whether i want that manga. i like the mangaka's santa/reindeer story that some group scanlated..can't find that one anywhere.

thx for all the scans. i like browsing through other ppl's recs for great new obsessions. (^_^)

I love that mangaka. Mekakushi no Kuni was awesome. And she did a really cute oneshot about a vampire taking care of a little girl. I don't remember the santa/reindeer one though.

I picked up last month's LaLa to check up on Vampire Knight and saw Penguin Revolution in there. Next thing I knew the group doing it updated on MangaNews right when I was about to search scanlation groups for it. That was awesome timing.

I need to stop finding obsessions. I just know I'm going to end up picking up 3-4 more manga when Ichiraci gets here. There's a mangaka who publishes with them that I fell in love with only reading one oneshot. XD No one is scanlating her longer series that I know of. I'm really interested in it though. AH! The Yoroshiku Master title looks familiar. I think I've seen it at my Kino. I'll have to check next time. I'm also going to have to read up on the scanlations now. XD

The mangaka for that one with the weird creatures is Kakizaki Muku and the title is Goraihou Gakuen e Youkoso! The oneshot was done by Hochuuami and called Cynical World. It was about the cutest, saddest, bittersweet oneshot I've ever read.

Hi, I know this is totally off-topic and that you don't know me and all, but... do you know that your lj is the only place I found any (english) Desire Climax spoilers? Loved your volume 3 summaries. Thank you so much for them. Wish I understood Japanese and had access to the actual manga. I'm only up to chapter 5 in english scanlations and the cliffhangers are killing me. You wouldn't happen to know what's with Shoei's glasses and what the 'incident' was that Mio forgot (and why she forgot about him)? The Hina thing I saw coming from a mile away. Anyway, thanks again for the summaries.

Haha, no problem. Your response is part of the reason I set up this LJ. I used to browse the net and read other people's websites and LJ on hard to find and not so popular manga/anime that I was obsessed with. So now that I'm living where I can get ahold of manga mags fairly easy, I'm trying to give back for all those lurker years. Get that vicious cycle continuing. XD

I do not have vol. 2 of Desire Climax, sadly. I was hoping it was popular enough at the Kinokuniya to get reordered. I've yet to see it in 2 months, so I'm going to add it to my special orders. I was able to grab vol 3 when it was a new release and vol. 1 finally showed, but no vol 2 as of yet. I have a guess that the incident was she lost the ring, but I really don't know.

That's too bad. I saw some scans of chap 8 and 9 and it looked like she landed in the hospital with her previously long hair chopped off and both father and son Jinnai looked upset/apologetic. I was wondering what that was about, I thought it might have something to do with why she lost her memory. Oh well, I'll have to wait. You're so lucky that you can get the original japanese-language manga. The only manga around here are english ones and there aren't very many of them, but at least there are people like you kind enough to share spoilers of the unlicensed stuff! =)
