So Chris has fears? mmmm well I suppose Noah needs somewhere to live.
I could feel Noah's pain at Reid's betrayal over Luke but at same time...the man now fascinates him.
I really don't know how this fic is going to pan out....but can't wait to find out Nic that's for sure!!! x

I loved that you included the idea that Noah was hurt not just by Luke's lies but Reid's, as well, as Noah had come to think of him as a friend. That reality seemed to be missed by a lot of fans, but is certainly how I saw it.
I loved the juxtaposition of Casey being a selfless and true friend against Chris being a manipulative and opportunistic "friend." It's touching to read that Casey sought Noah out during those months that the show didn't care enough to show us what was going on with Noah.
LOVED that Noah couldn't help but be disappointed it wasn't Reid at the door.
And finally:
"It was like the universe wasn’t content to just destroy him, but wanted to kick around his carcass after the fact."
True story! Noah never seems to get a break from the misery. The boy needs to be hugged forever! By someone other than Chris!

I think Noah's hurt by the lies was magnified by the fact that because of his blindness, he was so dependent on both Luke and Reid. His defenses were completely down when he was blindsided with their relationship, and that made it so much worse than it would've been if they'd just admitted the truth from the start.

And I can't help but wonder if this is all part of Chris's plan. He knew Noah wouldn't turn down his offer when he told him he was afraid of his body rejecting Luke's heart. He knew Noah would be vulnerable where anything to do with Luke was concerned.
That last line... oh my!

Run, Noah! Run far, far away. Go with your instincts about the good doctor (not the evil one) and don't be taken in by the thought of Luke's heart.

But the way you write it. You've got Noah, Reid, Chris and Katie so in character. I love it! And I loved all the interactions between Reid and Noah on their "lunch dates". It made me laugh so hard! And I feel the same as Noah and Reid. Those "lunch dates" actually did make me forget about Luke's death as well. Your writing is amazing!!
I still have no idea where this story is heading but everything about Chris is giving me the creeps. And it is SO SO SO SO SAD that Chris has Luke's beautiful heart pounding in his chest. He doesn't deserve it!! :-(

I appreciate your comments on my characterizations. To be honest, while I'm trying to do them all well, I don't care if I mess up Chris - because I don't care about Chris. And I don't worry much about Noah because as primarily a Nuke, I kinda feel like he's mine to mess up lol. But if you think I'm getting Reid right at all, that's a huge compliment. I adore him, but also find him difficult to write up to par, for the simple reason that he's so much smarter and funnier than I could hope to be. With a story like this, we hear his thoughts more than his words, so that probably helps.
Thank you for reading and for your comments - they are appreciated!
