I'm so lazy - and prepping for this exact event - so these haven't been edited at all, except the first one. It was a trial-and-a-half to get to the park today; my twenty minute drive took forty-five. What's up with everyone on the road this weekend?
Excuse my heavy metal black nailpolish (that's coming off) cameo here.
Ducks everywhere, as usual. Though I don't recall seeing this species before.
One of two brave trees that started blooming.
I believe this is the tree that
slave_to_anime spotted a blossom on his first trip out. It's now got a few clusters.
This was taken where our most clustered bunch of trees used to stand. Yeah, I said used to.
I wandered over towards the new bridge and saw a bunch of these restoration/replanting signs.
View from one side of the bridge.
View from the other side. Sadly there is no access to these spots (hopefully there will be at some point).
And look! I found one of our buddies!
I can't make an educated guess to when things will start progressing rapidly, but buds are still pretty small. The rain doesn't seem to be making much of a difference.
