I love it. Even not as a costume, I still love it.
Also, I think the background is the place the Jomfru brothers were shot at, which makes their nonchalant coffee break just that much more hilarious.

Actually...you're a very craft-savvy person. What would you recommend for the mug in terms of material, if I do decide to make it?

It would depend on what you were going to do with it. I LOVE working with magic model clay cause it's easy to work with and light weight - but I don't think it would survive a day at a convention. Normal clay would be very heavy and that would be A LOT of femo... thinking.....

I think if I were to make a Pickles mug with the purpose of cosplaying with it - I would try some sort of Styrofoam thing. But I have not worked with that media (yet)... hmmmm... Or paper matche! Light weight and lots of creative freedom ;)

Mugs in the shape of skulls already exist. You could buy one, then just add on the hair.
