A lot of these people seem to be pretty good at combat, some have uniforms, some dress really nicely. I see maybe some interesting eyebrows. And a lot of people with dark eyes.

okay I don't know half of these.

Buuuuut. Based on Pickles, and Charles, and Toph, and Izzy, I'd say you like characters who are kind of small and kind of ordinary looking maybe. They don't look like much but they come up from behind and surprise you with how amazing and awesome they are and they worm into your heart as the most bad ass fucking character you ever saw. (Till another comes along anyway.)
