These are gorgeous! Do you know who the djka artist is? If s/he does doujinshi I want them so SO bad, omgggg, icy!England/Hong Kong!!! (That's HK btw, not Japan... the ears aren't cut short at a slant at the ear like Japan's; plus his interaction with China is more... well, closer/better) Russia/Chinalakfsjdflkkkkk ::swoon::

ah, actually I'm pretty sure it is Japan, that artist did 2 more England/Japan vids before

:) There's a shot of Japan in the beginning of the vid (as well as Korea... I think the beginning is a summary of Asian powers vs European ones) and I saw the another vid you had up on your YT account which definitely was England/Japan, but the character in the vid above definitely looks like Hong Kong. (If you compare the canon pics Japan and HK do look similar but they're slightly different...) The drawing just looks different from Japan... ^^;;

(I was thinking also that the story in the vid was about England seizing Hong Kong from China (who "protected China" from being taken over by England in the same manner)and colonizing it for a period of time before it finally relinquishing it back to China [but by then Hong Kong liked England more than China, who had been transformed by Russia's colonialism, although its roots are back there]. China being devastated and driven to tears makes more sense if it's HK instead of Japan as well.)

Damn... I apologize. I went back and looked at the kanji for the vid link (on YT and the original link you posted) and it's definitely labeled "Kiku," so you're right, I guess it is in Japan in that picture! And looking over the drawings it does still kind of look like Japan... although the ear tails of hair seem uncut and more like HK's in various shots...

^^;; Aww... The vid is still very pretty but the storyline is less cool and makes less sense than if it had been HK.
