Sure, history and all that. I do appreciate the fact that astrologically motivated people did real astronomy way back when. But there's really no excuse for it to still be around now outside of history books.

It's a nasty system where (among many other things) people are trying to take the easy way out and learn about someone's personality by "looking in the back of the book for answers" instead of really getting to know them. It's all about easy answers to things that are unknown or hard to know. It fosters stereotyping of many sorts, including "I'd never date a libra" or "I wouldn't hire a pisces". And people give money to charlatans who peddle this insidious and insulting crap in its various forms. People "casting charts" use all sorts of numeric and astronomical data, so it "looks scientific", giving such people the veneer of science and adding confusion the idea of what real science is (for people who don't know much about science). Saying nothing and smiling indulgently at it and looking the other way when it comes up ( ... )
