... 'cept I'm all alone with my laptop (for the moment) 'cause hitchhiker's job decreed that he'd have a 9:30PM meeting tonight!! (Yeah the PM's redundant, but I can't help it!) Eventually, after he's out, I'm going to dinner with him and some of his friends. Yay! It rained heavily a bit ago; I hope it's clear later.

Swamp coolers are really most effective in dry weather. I'm glad it's helping a little. :) I hope the rain's washing out the smog a little so you don't get sick!

I warned hitchhiker about them supposedly being for nonhumid climates, but he said he had a friend who said they worked fine. Plus anyway he couldn't figure out how to put a real AC in his odd-sized small windows.

We've had the Swamp Thing off since around the second day I've been here. It only cools hitchhiker -- to me it makes the air more humid and less breathable, but not really cooler.

The rain prolly won't help much with the fumes (which is where it feels like most of the lung challenges come from), 'cause I breathe those while I'm in an autorickshaw as the exhaust flows in from the surrounding vehicles. Or just walking on any road. Rain can't help active sources of fumes, I'd think. :P

If you get a chance, maybe you could make dinner reservations for that lovely show. You have to speak to a machine; it's weird. And then they call you back at some random time. But I don't think they need a card to make dinner reservations.
