I haven't advertised this, but I've been unemployed since the beginning of June. Today, I've finally gotten a callback for an interview. Hopefully this will lead to something and quickly. -

I am officially done with Grad School. I'm now the proud owner of a Masters of Science in Mental Health Counseling. -

An update I wish i did not need to make
After consultations with doctors, we've decided that we've done all that we can for Dad. The type of cancer he has is insidious and persistent. Surgery, chemo, and radiation have not killed it and has nearly killed him twice now. They will not improve his quality of life. So we have decided to make the most of the time he has left.

In honor the memory of Louis Acompora, who died suddenly while playing the sport he loved, "12 for Life NYS" is trying to raise money to purchase AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) for special needs homes. UBCon insanity
So it seems that the organizers of UBCon this year failed to comprehend the concept of "people need time to get and eat food, especially GMs." And set up time. And advertising. And that there are non-locals attending. It's looking like the last disaster all over again.
