Lol, I really haven't been upkeeping my lj :< So I am doing a massive update and photo dump of goodness. It's strange, because I'm on lj more than any other internet client thingsy, but I just don't update that frequently.

Word to teh mother! )

Honestly my hair is hardly different. Stripping is gentler on hair, with better results from a darker color.

At first is was obviously a bit dry and had a lot of texture/not as smooth, but now it pretty much back to normal. Within the next month I'm probably going to strip the whole thing to try get it all over a more even color--it's still a bit blotchy for me--but I'm not really anticipating too much damage.

No need for a cut or trim, no split ends, no breakage, so all in all not that dramatic of a hair strain!

god, i'm so ridiculously jealous. my stupid hair never recovered and i had to bob it. :(
do you shampoo just your scalp and condition the length?

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that O.O I would break down and cry :<

While it was black I just shampooed and conditioned the whole thing, but now indeed I just shampoo the roots and condition everything so that the red doesn't fade as quickly :]

Thank yee :] I use special effects hair color. For the color it is now, the darker red is 'blood red' and the brighter part is 'nuclear red'.
