Since I have been doing so poorly on my reading list for the summer, I have started to make up for it by working on my movie list. This weekend I was able to catch a couple movies that weren't on my list, but I am happy I saw them none the less. Second of all, i think it would depend on the promise.
Third, i think thats true in most situations. There are some things that just mean more to some people than others. You never know the impact of things you say or do is having on other people. For example, you call a friend one night, you have no idea that one phone call was just waht they needed to make it through the night. But they may never say that to you. And to you it was just a phone call. Ahh whatever there are better exs but im too tired to name them.
Finally, I would hold onto the promise forever, and never forget it. If you always are protecting yourself you may be missing on out experiences and endings may be different than they would be if you would have just gave in and stopped protecting yourself. They say pain and heartache is worth it in the end, i dont know if i agree but i do know that sometimes you have to do things that you know are wrong just because...:)
