I do avoid most of the farming community as I'm vegetarian. I do eat some cheese, but the one i choose is also not mass produced shit that crams chickens into million-bird buildings claiming to be "cage free". Even cage free or free range chickens lead a miserable life. That's why I get RSPCA approved products. Their farms are approved and safe, I love the spiel on the box in particular. Something along the lines of "we ensure our chickens get to walk around, flap their wings, have constant access to quality feed and fresh water, have a nest that is free of disease and up off the ground as well as protection against predators ( ... )
